Figure Sculpture

At a meeting with the other art teachers in Lexington One a while back, one of my fantastic colleagues taught the group a simple way to construct figures using aluminum foil.

I thought this would be the perfect introduction for the sculpture unit my 5th graders will begin next week. I challenged students to use their creativity to show action with their aluminum figures. A simple lesson, to be sure, but challenging nonetheless. The results were pretty creative and impressive...
