I forgot to post anything about the SC State Fair!
So, I struggle with the idea of entering art work in the fair every year. It's wonderful because it allows me to show off student work and can give students (and our school) recognitions and awards. But I can't shake the idea that we shouldn't be jurying the work of kindergarten students.
Oh, well.
I entered five pieces this year...

to Abagail and Grayson, who won prizes in the fair this year!
Abagail received a 3rd place award for 2nd grade (little piece, middle).
Grayson received a Merit Award for 1st grade (top left).
The artwork will be on display in the Cantey Building at the SC State Fair until October 24th.
