Fifth grade artists just finished up their crayon/tempera resist Illuminated Letters. After examining traditional illuminated letters and illuminated manuscripts from the Middle Ages, the artists designed an illuminated letter to represent themselves. By using a variety of personal symbols, students were able to create truly unique, beautiful pieces!
