Tessellations

The graphic artist M.C. Escher first began creating tessellation artwork after observing the geometric patterns of tiles in The Alhambra in Spain.
For our purposes, a tessellation can be defined as a pattern covering a plane with the same shape with no spaces in between. It's a lot like a mosaic.


4th grade artists learned about the artist M.C. Escher and created tessellations...
